Two Spirits
On Sunday, July 13th, 2025, Guy House went on a shooting rampage that began at the Lexington Airport, where he shot and injured a Trooper from the Kentucky State Police. From there, House fled to the Richmond Road Baptist Church, where he shot and killed a 72-year-old woman and a 32-year-old woman and injured two men, including the church pastor.
According to the Lexington Herald…Guy House's criminal history included an auto theft charge, and that he "tested positive for methamphetamine last year in a court-ordered drug test that was part of his probation."
The newspaper reported that House went to Richmond Road Baptist Church to look for the mother of his kids, but when she wasn't there, he shot and killed her mother and sister and wounded her father, the pastor, and brother-in-law.
“Someone is gonna have to die then," a witness said House said before firing, according to the Independent.
Various social media postings described Guy E. House, Lexington, Kentucky as a man who was alleged leftist and an alleged ‘Free Palestine,’ Muslim as well as aspiring rapper.
While few clues were immediately available as to what led to Guy House allegedly targeting the Lexington, Kentucky church, a commentator who apparently knew him, alleged, ‘Everyone who actually knew him is posting that he had a long history of arrests and went to that church to kill the family/caregivers of his child. Nothing to do with religion at all.’
Was this a church shooting because they were Christians…probably not.
Was this church shooting directly connected to the fact that Guy House had converted to Islam…probably not.
Based on the above conclusions, we are left to ask this question…Did this shooting have anything to do with religion or religious beliefs?
Some would say no, it was merely a domestic dispute that happened to take place at a church.
But I want to look at this shooting and other similar events from a different perspective.
Was this shooting the result of or connected to the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ, or was this shooting the result of or connected to the unholy spirit of antichrist?
I ask that question because the Bible makes it clear that there are only TWO SPIRITS, two spiritual powers working on the earth today. Was this shooting spiritually connected to Jesus or Satan…the two spirit powers working on the earth in these last days?
Jesus never leads people to murder; in fact, Jesus tells us to forgive those who harm us and bless those who persecute us…love is the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
But what does the fruit of the unholy spirit of antichrist look like?
John 8:44 (NLT)
44 For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; .for he is a liar and the father of lies
Yes, there are many demonic spirits, but they all operate under the authority and power of the evil one, Satan or the Devil.
The demons are many, but their ruler, Satan, is one. Jesus reveals him as the evil one (singular).
Matthew 13:37-39 (NLT)
37 Jesus replied, “The Son of Man is the farmer who plants the good seed.
38 The field is the world, and the good seed represents the people of the Kingdom. The weeds are the people who belong to the evil one.
39 The enemy who planted the weeds among the wheat is the devil. The harvest is the end of the world, and the harvesters are the angels.
John 17:14-15 (NLT)
14 I have given them your word. And the world hates them because they do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world.
15 I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one.
The Holy Spirit brings life, and the unholy spirit of antichrist brings death.
Yes, this was a spiritual issue, even if it was not directly connected with Guy’s conversion to Islam.
The spirit war between Christ and the antichrist spirit is real, and the antichrist spirit realm is powerful and deceptive. Jesus makes it clear, everything is spiritual, and we must all choose sides in this spiritual war that finds its origins in the heavens.
Matthew 12:30 (NLT)
30 “Anyone who isn’t with me opposes me, and anyone who isn’t working with me is actually working against me.
Maranatha, Hosanna, Hallelujah and Amen,
